Where do you live?

Where do you live?

Most of us live in our head, but that’s not always or rarely in fact the best place to be!

Who is that voice in your head, is it really you, or is it your personality?

Is that really you? I used to believe that voice was me, but now I know it’s not the real me. The essence of who I am actually resides somewhere else.

So where is that I hear you ask – Actually I believe that every single cell in the physical body has its very own consciousness, now is that the same as the mind? Well I believe it is, and I now know that mind or consciousness is also not limited to the physical body.

Science has long since proved that we are not just a physical body. In fact if we take this to the extreme – when we examine our body scientifically and look inside the cells, we find the atoms which we know that we and everything else are made of. But when we look inside the atom there is no longer anything there? So what are we made of?

Pure energy or photons of light – that’s what we truly are.

As hard as this is to imagine and get our thinking brain around. It is absolutely true.

The energy of our heart space – not the physical pump that keeps us ‘alive’, but the energetic frequency of who we are, is infinite, and this infinite energetic frequency connects us all in a universal sea of possibility. This is where I’d rather live. How about you?

Our personality is developed by our experience since our conception. We have characteristics, which can seem to be family traits, but science is now proving that most Genetic influences and even some of the ‘Genetic health’ issues are not that at all. They are created by our environmental influences and beliefs.

For example if there is a condition which ‘runs’ in a family. It is believed by the family members that they are likely to develop that condition. But we now know that in most cases, in fact 95%! That it is the ‘belief’ that causes the condition to be created rather than the genes.

Personality consists of our unique characteristics and the programme which is recorded in our subconscious mind from conception onwards But we are only operating from the conscious mind for 5% of the time. So for the majority of the time - 95% of the time, we’re running on autopilot and the ‘programme’ is running the show!

The personality can and often does run amok – swinging in an emotional response to situations which would be far better handled if we are in a centred and balanced place. This is not often achieved if we are constantly living in our head.

Sometimes this is referred to as the monkey mind, where it is flitting around like a naughty chimp!

There’s a very simple process which helps to stop that naughty chimp from running amok, creating stress and chaos – simply by taking your attention away from that naughty chimp, down into your heart and the space around it – (Imagine going into a lift and slowly sinking down the lift shaft to your heart).

Once you have arrived, ask ”what’s my next thought going to be” - there is always a gap before the thought comes, and the more you do this simple process which only takes a minute or so to do, the longer the gap will be.

You now have a new tool, which will serve you well to bring calm after the storm, taking the negative ‘energy’ out of your thoughts, which is what they are, just energy, but they do (create) matter, because it is our thoughts and beliefs that create the solid matter of the reality of our world.

With practice you will find that you will automatically ‘live’ in this calm place, because you have created a new programme – much like any other skill you have learned. Driving is a good example. In the beginning, learning to drive is a huge challenge for most of us, because of all the separate skills which have to be co-ordinated for the skill of driving to flow smoothly.

But the day came when it all came together and you could drive without consciously paying attention to any of the separate skills needed, because you had created a new mind map of neural connections. Well guess what? This ability can be utilised at any time to develop new skills or habits. We use less than 2% of the potential of our physical brain, the geniuses use less than 10% - so the really exciting news is that we have at least 90% to play with!

How each of us perceives ‘The’ world is what becomes ‘Our’ world, so everyone has a different experience of this world. There are many ‘agreed’ perceptions or beliefs of course - we all see ‘green’ trees and grass for instance, in the UK we all believe that squirrels are either grey or red. But are they really? If we go back to the information or knowledge that science has given us, then if we are really only photons of light and pure energy – then neither us nor the squirrels are ‘real’ in the sense that we can’t really be here physically if we are energy and light!!!!

It’s such a tricky concept all this. Your physical brain / mind is trying to ‘get it’. That’s ok, that’s actually left brain stuff. Our left brain likes to know exactly what’s going on at any given moment, it likes to feel safe and know what is going to happen next. Our right brain however is the free flowing creative part of us. Often though, our creativity is stifled by the controlling influence of the left brain, and it goes to sleep. One trick is to keep the left brain busy with something else; distracting it from what is going on in the right brain.

For instance, I have found that I often have my most free flowing creative thoughts when I’m driving, which is great, but frustrating because I have forgotten them by the time I want to write them down.

I wrote this on a train journey I had to make recently, so my left brain was busy monitoring the journey, the people around me, the sounds etc. and my right brain stuff was flowing really well and this is the result.

This is proof of the amazing ability of our brain, it is perfectly safe to have our attention on other things while driving, because the mind map for driving is already well established or hard wired. If anything happens which needs our conscious attention, it is back in a nano second.

If we have a personality which needs security and structure to feel safe, then our left brain will try even harder to do just that. This is then continually being reinforced by that need, creating more of the same instead of new exciting and more expansive experiences.

The potential of every human being on the planet is limitless, we just don’t know and truly believe it. Infinite magical possibility is why we are here, not our current reality.

Science has also proved that the universe consists of a sea of potential or possibility? The outcome of any experiment is affected by the person doing the experiment because of the ‘Observer’ effect.

At every moment that sea of potential is waiting to be observed, so that it knows what and how we want to be. So if we are observing with limiting and negative thoughts, that is exactly what is created for us, so we just keep getting more of the same.

To change our experience then all we have to do is change our mind. It really is that simple, and I don’t mean that it’s easy, but it can be if that’s what we believe and decide.

So how do we observe something? By putting our attention on it, not our vision, but our attention, from the heart space, because this space is unencumbered by the mind programme.

So by observing the potential of possibility and ‘seeing’ or visualising what you want to become and achieve anything truly is possible.
